JOC Europe: European Seminar in Linz, Austria
Last September, the European movements of the IYCW celebrated their European Seminar in Linz, Austria in collaboration with KJ Upper Austria (KJ means Catholic Youth and is the organization YCW Austria dissolved into some years ago). It was the first time in many years that the IYCW was meeting in Austria.
The seminar focused on the topics the different national movements brought up. Every delegation prepared one part of the program, sharing not only their actions but also the topics the actions are addressing, and including the participants from the different countries in their process.
Fourth Issue of IYCW Bulletin: "Work, Justice and Equality for a Dignified Life: Let's be the Change Young People Need for the Future"
Work, Justice and Equality for a Dignified Life: Let's be the Change Young People Need for the Future
In this issue of the bulletin, we believe it is important to focus on the first priority defined by the IYCW International Plan of Action 2023-2026, i.e. unemployment and precarious work. While work has always been at the heart of the IYCW's action, unemployment is the other side of the coin, preventing young workers from meeting their most basic needs and fulfilling their deepest aspirations.
The articles that appear on the following pages deal with unemployment and precarious work, call for improvements from a political point of view, and highlight a line of action that the international YCW is gradually developing in various countries around the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE). In addition to its vision and analysis of the major problems facing young workers, the bulletin continues to share experiences of action and to outline the collaboration being forged with adults who have a YCW activist background in order to consolidate processes.

Chile YCW Training Week 2023: Strengthening Knowledge, Analyzing Local and National Realities, Helping to Preserve the Environment
A training week was organized by the Chile YCW from July 5 to 9. This enriching experience took place at the El Quisco YCW retreat house, located on the coast of the Valparaiso region. During this event, young people from different communities and backgrounds came together to share experiences, gain new knowledge and reflect on issues that concern our young people. We were delighted to have the active participation of representatives from the Peru YCW as part of our joint efforts to strengthen co-responsibility between the two organizations.
